Bordeau’s Antonio Calvano has hit back at the allegations made by Italy defender Giampiero Spalletti after his side lost to Florence at the Avondale Estate on Saturday.
Italy’s Antonio Spalletti had claimed that his side were “playing the wrong way” after the two sides met in a friendly at the end of the season.
Spalletti has also claimed that he would prefer a team in his homeland of Italy would have beaten Italy in the group stage of the World Cup in Brazil next summer.
It will be the second consecutive game in which Italy has lost, with the previous occasion coming in the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup.
Bordeaux, who finished in the relegation zone last season, have lost four consecutive games at the AIG Arena, having lost their last five away to Bordeaus.
