Homeowner who shot dead 2-year-old boy says she was ‘just following orders’

A North Carolina woman is charged with the murder of a 2-week-old baby boy and a pregnant woman.

Brentley Scott, 24, is charged in the death of Nicholas P. Schulz.

The toddler’s mother, Ashley Williams, said she and Scott had been dating for a few months and planned to get married.

She said Scott called her and told her that he wanted to be her husband.

She called police when he showed up at their home on April 29, she told the AP.

She said Scott then shot and killed Nicholas and his baby sister.

He said the boy was wearing a diaper.

The girl’s father, James Schulz, told the Charlotte Observer that he has never been arrested in connection with the case.

Police are still searching for Scott.
